Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College

Profile

Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College was established in 1973, initially offering a three-year Bachelor of Commerce degree programme. The college was sanctioned government aid in 1976. By 1988, it had expanded to include courses in the Arts, Science, and Commerce departments. Currently, the college offers Honours undergraduate courses in four different disciplines. All courses are of four-year duration and follow a semester pattern in accordance with the guidelines of Andhra University. The conduct of semester-end theory and practical examinations, as well as the issuance of degrees, is the prerogative of Andhra University.

The undergraduate program is divided into two divisions for academic functions:

1. Commerce & Management: B. Com. and BBA

2. Arts & Sciences: B. Sc. and B. A.

Admission criteria

Admissions are conducted through the Online Admissions Module for Degree Colleges (OAMDC) under the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

UG Courses

The college offers a diverse range of undergraduate programmes, including Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hon.) with ten major subjects and Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hon.) with six major subjects. In addition to these, the college also provides courses in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA Hon.) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hon.), catering to a variety of academic interests and career aspirations.

There are 56 well-ventilated and spacious classrooms with an inbuilt carpet area each of 600 sqft and 16 highly equipped laboratories for practical studies of the science subjects. The following is the list of laboratories for respective courses on the campus.

Placement services

A dedicated Placement Cell in collaboration with SDC assists students with career guidance and placements. It organises placement drives over the academic year inviting top companies and various industries and also provides essential skill development training for on-campus recruitments. The college environment fosters students' overall development and growth by encouraging participation in both academics and co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
